Who we are
KTQ - The Martial Way is a video course app for Kung-Fu, Taichi, Qi-gong, Kung-Fit and Mobility. Questions about your data can be sent to genevekungfu@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account details — your name and email address, so you can sign in and we can contact you about your membership.
- Training progress — which steps and modules you have completed.
- Practice videos — clips you upload for a challenge step, so a coach can review them.
- Questions to your coach — text, voice notes or videos you send with "Ask your coach", and the coach's replies.
- Membership status — which plan you have (Essential or Premium), whether it is active, its renewal date, and any single coach reviews you bought. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach our servers.
- Belt orders — if you order a real belt and certificate: your name, shipping address, the belt and track, and the order date, so we can send it to you.
- Onboarding answers — we keep your goal, your experience level and the date you accepted the health notice. Your answers to the health questions are only used to suggest a starting track and are never saved.
Why we use it
Only to run the service: showing your step map, unlocking modules after a coach approves your video, and giving members access to paid content. We do not sell your data and we do not use your practice videos for advertising.
Who can see your videos
Your practice clips are visible to you and to the coaches who review submissions. They are not public and are not shared with other students. An automatic check may look at a clip first to help the review. Questions you send to your coach, including voice and video, stay private between you and the coach.
How long we keep it
- Your clip is kept until the coach has reviewed it. If it is approved, it is deleted immediately. Otherwise, it is deleted 7 days after you open the feedback, or when you send a new clip. We keep only the result (step, date, pass or fail, rating).
- Questions and answers are deleted 7 days after you first read the answer, or earlier if you delete them yourself.
- Belt orders and shipping addresses are kept as long as needed to deliver the order and meet accounting obligations.
- Other account data stays while your account exists. Delete your account in the app and we remove your profile, progress, questions and membership record; an active subscription is cancelled automatically.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time. Account deletion is available inside the app under Account settings, and takes effect immediately. You may also email us to request a copy of your data.
Children
KTQ - The Martial Way is intended for people aged 16 and over. Younger students should train under a parent or guardian account.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
